Lost My Spark

I used to be full of life. Now, I’m not so sure.

This year was supposed to be my year. The year I thrived, the year I crossed off goals from the list I carefully made at the beginning of year I was supposed to accomplish everything I set my mind to. All my big ambitions

But somewhere along the way, I lost my spark.

Losing your spark feels like having your inner light slowly fade away. The passion that once pushed you forward disappears. Nothing excites you in life.

You dont have the energy to show up like you used to. You want to be isolated, running away from the life you are stuck in. Life just goes by autopilot and you just want to drown out the noise.

Nothing.

Just emptiness.

I lost myself somewhere in the pursuit of achieving something bigger.

It turns out I was weaker than I thought. Losing my spark happened gradually, almost without me noticing. Regaining it, however, takes months.

I can’t point to a single moment that caused me to lose it. There was no dramatic event or an incident that broke me. Instead, it was a series of small things that  affected me little by little until I realized I wasn’t the same person I used to be.

People lose their spark for different reasons, and those reasons are often invisible to everyone else. It may be because of relationships, friendships, family struggles, academic pressure, or countless other challenges. There are so many things in life that can weigh us down.

After all, we are not made of steel.

Humans are fragile and deeply affected by the world around us. From the outside, we may seem perfectly fine. Most people don’t notice when someone loses their spark because it is an internal battle. You are not noticeably sad or angry. You just feel a giant hole in your chest that you can’t really explain.

If this resonates with you, I hope you remember that this feeling will not last forever.

You will regain your spark.
